Thanking the Lord for our ticket miracle!

We want to thank the Lord for making a miracle happen. So often we ask of the Lord things that seem impossible. Then He makes a way in such an ordinary manner that we hardly notice His handiwork and it can easily pass without us turning back and saying thank you for His graceful provision in things that were hard to reach. So it was with our tickets back to Africa. We thought we would have to buy round trip tickets which would have costed from 9 to 12 thousand dollars. We knew we couldn't come up with this amount by ourselves. There was an anxiousness lingering in our minds and we talked about it often. On one of these days our minds took a turn when we stood back from our situation and looked at the things the Lord has done in the past in His faithfulness. In a new and fresh way we stood on the same faithful Rock that has been so faithful in the past. We are so forgetful of God's wonders in the desert and when new challenges come we are often slow to just cast ourselves on Him who has never failed us nor was He ever too late.

By God's grace not by luck we found half price one way tickets. But we still did not have the funds to pay for them and secure them from price changes and we were approaching high season when the prices always skyrocket. That would mean staying another season. We had been saving as much as we could to put toward our tickets and then two Christian brothers contributed towards the gap that we couldn't fill. What was available to us at the time was just enough to cover the one way tickets.
We thank God once again for being faithful in supplying our needs and for those He placed around us with love and care. May God bless you in the open for your kindness where nobody sees you.

  1. Hello Stephanus & Rose... I am so happy to have found your blog! And to read so exciting news...:-) Wow, Zambia and Angola! That is no walk in a park... But first you are going to see the new Auditorium resurected at Sizabantu!! Isnt it awesome? I wish I could see it too but I cant go to South Africa for this Easter. Hopefully it will still be there when my time comes to visit again ;-). Your testimony is precious and I would so much like to meet you all in person some day!
May Jesus be always in the boat of your life , you are doing and extraordinary job.

Honored to be your sister in Christ,
