Missionary Living in the Boondies

A temporary campsite in Zambia. The toilet is on the far left and the shower is on the left of the gate. We had a camper and a tent set up inside the reed enclosure.

Rose cooking on a charcoal fire. White corn meal was our staple food. Here she is using it to make Crumble Pap.

Gathering firewood. This is very wild terrain, we saw lion tracks by our campsite on arrival, and enountered cheetah, giraffe, elephants, baboons, etc.

Washing Dishes after our meal. Rose's Mother and Sister Rhoda visited us. This is Rhoda.

Cooking food with an open fire.

Rose's mother Rebekah, Rhoda, and Rose enjoying tea in the wild boondies of Africa.

What a challenge to keep the little ones clean!

  1. Wow, Does this bring back memories? We enjoyed our time there. Only God knows if I will ever get back there to visit you all. But my prayers go with you. I know I am far away, but will still miss you as you are going even farther away. But we can unite in our prayers. Love you all.
