Prayer for Pomfret #2

We can really thank the Lord for the trip up to Pomfret. All our driving went well with no major vehicle problems. Although as soon as we were back from the trip we had a problem with a big gear in the transfer box . By God's grace it was close to home. My brother helped me to tow the vehicle back and we started working on the problem. Three teeth on a big double gear for the 4x4 high-low range broke off. Thankfully a friend, Heinrich Roode, from Ladybrand, who is very familiar with Land Cruisers had the exact gear that we needed. Heinrich has helped us several times in the past with parts and advice and many hours of work on the Land Cruiser. Heinrich, thank you so much! Your help has blessed us many times. Know that we are very thankful for all your help. At the moment we are just waiting for a bearing that was difficult to find. But it sounds like we will have it on Friday sometime. Then we can put everything together again. But we really thank the Lord that we did not get stuck in the middle of nowhere with the problem but that it was where friends could help us. As soon as we have the transfer box together again and paperwork for passports started we want to be on our way to Pomfret again.

If you can really pray for Kihanna's birth registration to be finalized on the computer, this is what keeps us from applying for the passports. Another thing that became a problem with Rose's application for South African citizenship is a simple address verification that is not being done and is keeping the process from getting done. Please pray for this problem and that we would be able to get to the right people to get the process going again. And for the Lord's will to be done in it all.

At Pomfret we had a good time ministering one on one with many people but there was still not an opening for preaching at any church. The churches seem to be very closed but we made some contacts with people and we need to pick them up as soon as we get back in Pomfret. We hope to start especially with men, doing Bible studies. The greatest thing that we are hoping for is to start a home cell, or a church. This is really what we need prayer for that by God's grace we may see this happen in this little town with about 5000 people. The churches we have seen up till now are in darkness and mostly involved with the things of darkness. That place is in great need of something that will live in the light of the Lord and truly be a light in the darkness. That we will see this happen by the grace of God alone and that we will see his kingdom advance in this place where darkness has ruled so long.

We are so thankful for those who are praying for us. Please let us know if you are going to pray for this in Pomfret. It is a great encouragement. Send us an email at gotellmypeople@gmail.com.
